BlackGentry is a members-only community created for ambitious, intentional singles seeking meaningful relationships. Our mission is to foster authentic connection in a space that is safe, respectful, curated, and relationship-focused. BlackGentry is not intended for casual hookups or “friends with benefits.” Accounts or behavior that indicate purely casual or sexual-only intent may be restricted or removed.

To protect our members and preserve the integrity of the community, all users must follow these Community Guidelines. Violations may result in warnings, feature restrictions, suspension, or permanent removal.

1. Respect and Dignity

  • Harassment, bullying, intimidation, stalking, or threats are not allowed.
  • Hate speech, slurs, or discrimination toward any protected identity are prohibited.
  • Sexual harassment, unwanted sexual comments, or repeated unwanted contact are prohibited.
  • Emotional abuse, coercion, blackmail, or retaliation are prohibited.
  • Attempting to contact someone off-platform after they have unmatched or disengaged is not allowed.

2. Authenticity and Honest Representation

  • Use real, recent photos of yourself only.
  • Provide accurate personal information.
  • Represent your identity, intentions, and relationship status truthfully.
  • Maintain one account per real individual.

Not Allowed

  • Fake profiles, impersonation, or catfishing.
  • Misrepresenting age, gender, identity, location, or intentions.
  • Using deceptive AI-generated or heavily altered imagery.
  • Shared, transferred, or jointly operated accounts.
  • Multiple or coordinated deceptive accounts.

3. Profile Integrity, Photos, and Presentation Standards

Age Requirement

  • You must be 18 years or older to use BlackGentry.
  • We may request government-issued identification to verify age or identity.
  • Accounts belonging to individuals under 18 will be permanently removed.

Minors in Media

  • Profile photos or videos may not depict minors in any form, including childhood photos of the account holder.

Authentic Personal Photos Only

  • All profile photos must clearly depict the account holder only.
  • Group-only photos or images where the account holder cannot be clearly identified are not permitted.
  • Photos must be recent and representative of your current appearance.
  • Misleading, outdated, or identity-obscuring images may result in removal or denial of approval.
  • Uploading the same image in multiple profile slots or prompts is not permitted.

Image Quality and Authenticity Standards

  • Photos must be clear, well-lit, and in focus.
  • Blurry, dark, distorted, or very low-resolution images are not allowed.
  • Heavily filtered, beauty-altered, or digitally manipulated images that obscure true appearance are prohibited.
  • Cartoon images, avatars, AI-generated personas, or non-photographic images are not permitted.
  • Photos where your face is hidden, obstructed, cropped out, or intentionally concealed are not allowed.
  • Significantly outdated images that do not reflect your current appearance are prohibited.

Off-Platform Contact and Social Handles

  • No social media handles or “@” usernames anywhere on your profile.
  • No phone numbers, emails, cash tags, or messaging platform details.
  • No QR codes, website links, or “link in bio” style text.
  • No contact information embedded in photos.
  • No attempts to direct communication outside BlackGentry.

Prohibited Visual Content and Presentation

  • No smoking imagery of any kind, including cigarettes, cigars, vapes, hookah, or similar devices.
  • No visible illegal drug use, drug paraphernalia, or promotion of controlled substances.
  • No imagery suggesting gang affiliation, threatening gestures, or criminal activity.
  • No gang signs or hand signs that may reasonably be deemed threatening or inappropriate.
  • No middle-finger gestures or other obscene or offensive hand gestures.
  • No holding, displaying, or emphasizing large amounts of cash or money.
  • No pants worn in a sagging manner that intentionally exposes undergarments.
  • No display of gold teeth or grills in a manner that detracts from the professional, relationship-focused nature of the platform.
  • No memes, graphics, AI-generated personas, or non-photographic images.

Presentation and Attire

  • Shirtless or partially nude images are not permitted unless clearly taken in an appropriate setting such as a beach, pool, or gym.
  • Sexually suggestive posing or explicit emphasis on body parts is not allowed.

4. Usernames and Profile Information

  • No social media handles, external links, or contact details in any profile field.
  • No celebrity or fictional character names.
  • No emojis, symbols, punctuation, or numbers not part of a real name.
  • No wording that violates these Community Guidelines.

5. Consent and Healthy Interaction

  • Consent must be freely given, clearly communicated, and reversible at any time.
  • Sexual coercion, pressure, exploitation, or non-consensual sexual behavior is strictly prohibited.
  • These standards apply to both online and real-world interactions.

6. Sexual Content and Nudity

  • Nudity or pornographic imagery is not permitted.
  • Sexually explicit or fetish content is not permitted.
  • Commercial sexual services or solicitation is prohibited.
  • Cyberflashing or sharing intimate images without consent is prohibited.

7. Child Safety

  • Any sexualized depiction or discussion involving minors is prohibited.
  • Sharing, producing, requesting, or storing child sexual abuse material is prohibited.
  • Any content that harms, endangers, or exploits a person under 18 is prohibited.

8. Violence, Extremism, and Dangerous Conduct

  • Threats or acts of physical or sexual violence are not allowed.
  • Human trafficking, coercion, or exploitation are prohibited.
  • Terrorism or violent extremist support is prohibited.
  • Graphic gore, injury, or cruelty imagery is prohibited.
  • Weapons imagery is not allowed except lawful display by uniformed military or law enforcement.

9. Scams, Fraud, and Financial Exploitation

  • Requests for money, gifts, cryptocurrency, or financial support are prohibited.
  • Romance scams or deception for personal gain are prohibited.
  • Theft, extortion, or financial manipulation are prohibited.

10. Controlled Goods, Substances, and Illegal Activity

  • Buying, selling, or promoting illegal drugs or paraphernalia is prohibited.
  • Misuse of prescription drugs, alcohol, or tobacco is prohibited.
  • Weapons trafficking or other unlawful conduct is prohibited.
  • Any activity that violates applicable law is prohibited.

11. Hate, Bullying, and Identity-Based Harm

  • Dehumanization, degradation, or contempt toward protected groups is prohibited.
  • Harmful stereotypes, slurs, or exclusionary language are prohibited.
  • Fetishization or targeting based on identity is prohibited.

12. Misinformation and Harmful False Content

  • False or misleading content likely to cause real-world harm is prohibited.
  • Claims contradicting recognized public-health guidance are prohibited.
  • False information about civic or electoral processes is prohibited.
  • Dangerous conspiracy-type content that threatens safety is prohibited.

13. Self-Harm and Mental Health

  • Content that promotes, glorifies, or assists suicide, self-injury, or eating disorders is prohibited.

14. Commercial Activity, Spam, and Platform Abuse

  • Advertising, solicitation, or promotion is not allowed.
  • Bulk or automated messaging is not allowed.
  • Scraping, scripting, or manipulation of the platform is prohibited.
  • Duplicate accounts or ban evasion, including VPN circumvention, are prohibited.

15. Privacy, Confidentiality, and Boundaries

  • Sharing private messages or images without consent is prohibited.
  • Doxxing or exposing personal information is prohibited.
  • Secretly recording conversations is prohibited.
  • Using the platform to collect personal data for outside use is prohibited.

16. Reporting and Community Safety

Members can report behavior that violates these Guidelines. Reports are reviewed by trained moderators and safety systems. Reports are handled confidentially, and reporter identity is not shared except where required by law.
